About Sandy
Hi! My name is Sandy. I was found in front of the house when I was less than a month old. They thought I was lost, but no one responded to the announcement. They couldn't put me in a shelter, knowing my future life would be very uncertain. And so I have been left to live in my new home here.
I am such an only child and my parents have not faced the challenge of finding the basic necessities for the furry friends before. My mom began by searching for the perfect dog bed. But after scrolling through hundreds of options, she couldn’t find The One. Either it was unreasonable price or it wasn't good enough. So she hired a local seamstress to create the dog bed of her (and my) dreams.
Then mom realized that one mattress really isn't enough, because I want to be with her everywhere, and carrying a mattress around is inconvenient. Now I have several. And, most importantly, all are cute, comfortable and perfectly fit into the interior design.
In short, my mom started obsessing a bit (okay, a lot). She wanted everything to be just right for her new baby and that both of us should look like each other (even though we do look alike). She obsesses over each and every detail. All of materials are hand-picked for design, comfort, texture and durability. Moreover, my mum doesn't like to waste money (however, like everyone else). So each item is reusable, multifunctional, made from recycled materials while minimizing waste by using fabric scraps wherever possible. And, of course, we look the same now.
Then my mom realized she couldn’t be the only dog mom who wanted beautiful, modern, quality products. So she quit her day job and Sandy's Tail was born.
Unfortunately, not every pet is lucky enough to have a family to call its own, but they too want to look fancy and pretty or sleep well on a good bed. That's why every 10th our product goes to the shelter. Mum believes that this will help the dogs feel more comfortable and hopefully be adopted out more quickly, as the new owners won't have to spend money to buy some basic necessities.
