Matutura

This photo was really rewarding to capture (June 2023). Still my favorite.

The idea was to photograph the moon rising over a town district Matutura. Timing was everything. And! The moon, enormous and luminous, began to rise with its soft silvery light. Just as it reached beautiful point for picture, an airplane flew across the sky, perfectly framed against the moon. The juxtaposition of the serene, celestial body with the dynamic, human-made machine created a powerful image. It was a reminder of how our lives are intertwined with the rhythms of the natural world, even in the midst of urban life.
